Welcome to your mixtape, Mom!

I figured I'd spend way way way too much time and energy on this so that I don't have to bother trying to print CD covers and cassette tape inserts. I'll also include the digital versions of each playlist just in case. The cassette version has a couple more tracks.

I wanted to give a little reasoning behind my song choices. Some of them remind me of you, and some of them I think will remind you of me. I think it’s probably best to read as you listen, but I’m not going to stop you from reading ahead. Enjoy!

Pedal to the floor! *blows headgasket*

7.

25 or 6 to 4

I can still remember when you first showed me this song taking me home from school one afternoon. I was kinda iffy at first but it definitely grew on me, and I’m glad I got to play it for you during jazz band.

8.

Help

I remember when I was singing this after Karlie and I broke up and you were so sad but still laughing because I had the song perfectly memorized.

9.

Stfu

The amount of times we both sang this at the top of our lungs, directed at some stupid bitch in our lives

10.

Field of Hopes and Dreams

The song that reminds you of Karlie. Still don’t entirely get it but I also do now.

15.

It’s Been So Long

Another song I didn’t think you’d like, which was surprising since I added it for a meme. It’s a good song though.

16.

Watermelon Man

I didn’t know this was from that one movie but your laughter was priceless when this started playing.

17.

Never Gonna Give You Up

If I had a dollar for every time I’ve rickrolled you, I could fund an R&D department to develop a new way to rickroll you.

18.

Long Long Long Journey

This song is pretty appropriate for the whole college thing, but it’s also just a really upbeat and happy song.
